This is a great all around sander…Quite, comfortable and light. And since they have the same parts the dynabrades (according the the paint rep) at a much lower cost, you can’t go wrong!

Used it for a week on my car and it lost power and vibrates bad. Going back to my Dynabrade.

One of the best orbitals I’ve ever used hands down. I had the luxury of using this model at work before I purchased one for myself and I’m glad I did. You get what you pay for and it’s worth every penny. One of the features I like about this model is where the regulator is located. It’s a 3 position regulator that sits right next to your thumb and is easy to adjust speeds. Another feature I like about it is that the valve pivot point is recessed into the tool. Other sanders I’ve used have had the pivot point of the valve above the tool which is a pinch point. I have been pinched, not badly, but enough to be annoying. This 3M model fixes that problem with the recessed pivot point and is very comfortable and easy to use.The only downside I can think of is that if you are looking to keep the sanding mess to a minimum, this isn’t the model to go with.I normally work at a downdraft table so it isn’t an issue for me.Luckily, 3M also makes a model with a vacuum attachment and I’m sure it’s just as great as this one. Happy Sanding!

Just right. This is the best D-A sander I’ve ever used. I was one of those that would get the cheapo units and just replace them more often. It is clear from the start that this offers far petter action, and leaves a better finish since it is not as violent… If you want your work to count… THIS is the D-A for you.

I have been using Dynobrade sanders for over 30 years. When I saw the 3M Elite I decided to give it a shot.I wasn’t if I liked it at first , but, after a couple weeks of use it broke in and works great.

In my 30 years owning a woodworking manufacture I always tried getting myself the best tool to have different than I purchased for all employees. After the first few times using this sander and not extremely happy with the performance I returned it for an exchange. I thought the first one had to be bad from the factory. Again after a couple of uses this piece of junk stopped working altogether. I took it apart a few time and never found out what was causing it not to work. I gave it to one of my guys who found out if he hits it wit a hammer he could get it to work but couldn’t get it to stop. It did not last much longer taking a beating in order to function. Since I don’t use my tools all the time my return window was expired but I will never buy a 3-M sander again. Harbor Freight has better sanders then this garbage.
