So a friend owned one of these from years ago..and said they were great. I bought one and it broke the first day…air line came off and when I got that back on with a clamp I found that the spindle did not spin true. He bought another at the same time and said it was crap..not the same tool even though it was the same model number and such.I needed one again a few weeks ago for a job…so I took a chance and bought two in the hopes that one would work. The tool looked identical to the one I had from years ago and one was good and the other had that same bearing issue.So…if you need a high speed tool for a few minutes a day then this may work for you, but if you are looking for a long term tool to use for a full day every now and then I suggest a better tool. If your work depends upon a tool like this then you need to get a different tool, however, if you are a hobbiest and need it to go round and round once in a while then it should be fine…if you get one that works to begin with.

Spindle is running out enough that it cannot clean up a surface well, but still good at removing material none the less

The unit workes really well. I bought it as a back up for the one I already have and this new one is quieter and runs more smoothly, but the hose came apart on the second use, so I had to replace that. The rest of it works very well though. Also the wrenches that were included are the wrong size and don’t work for loosening and tightening the collet. It’s a good thing my old one has the same size wrenches that actually fit this new one.
