Amazon.com
The Fuji industrial spray equipment air cap set #5 is ideal for faster and wetter coverage using your spray gun; it has a wide range of applications and is perfect for painting large surfaces with latex and paints. This air cap set is intended for use with the XT spray gun and does not fit older Fuji spray gun models. This air cap set is a complete needle, nozzle, and jet kit with a larger 0.070-inch nozzle size for high output atomization, allowing you to cover surfaces quickly. The needle and nozzle are made of durable stainless steel. For a proper fit, the fluid nozzle and needle must match exactly, but the air cap set may be one size up or down from the norm and still be compatible. With the larger air cap set sizes, some slight texture in the finish may occur.

Used it with the Q4 system spraying Kiltz 2 primer and Dunn-Edwards gloss. Set trigger and air control wide open and did ok with un-thinned primer and the gloss paint. Thinned the primer 10%, cut the air and trigger down. Did very well.

“Flotrol” and plenty of coats will give you a latex finish that looks like an oil-based spray. If you really want to move a lot of material for an HVLP unit, this nozzle will give you that ability. But, if you are serious about spraying a lot of latex you should probably be using an airless sprayer. This is good for the occasional latex job. I keep this nozzle on most of the time and use it to spray lacquers, oil-based paints, metallic paints and varnishes. If you open the air up – it will deposit a lot of material. Keep the gun moving. If you are looking for a fine controlled spray pattern (I like a 3″ dia. round pattern for my furniture) this nozzle can give it to you. I have the #3, #4 and #5 tips. The #5 is good for just about everything I do. Customers like the “rich and deep” finishes this gun produces.
