Product Description
It’s time to modernize your toolkit. Introducing AirCat air ratchets! The AirCat 800 1/4-inch Composite Ratchet speeds up the removal and installation of fasteners to make short work of your engine, body, and interior chores. AirCat 1/4-inch single-pawl ratchets are built with superior internal mechanics with patented quiet technology and ergonomically designed red composite handles, so you can work quietly and comfortably for prolonged periods. The muffler/filter system of these little ratchets noticeably reduces the level of noise associated with air ratchets, while retaining more power and torque to get the job done. Indispensable and versatile, AirCat 1/4-inch single-pawl ratchets work efficiently and quietly to get your auto chores done faster than with traditional hand ratchets.
This power tool delivers 35 ft-lbs of maximum torque, 320 RPM for fast rundown, a single pawl mechanism, superior internal mechanics, our patented, quiet-tuned exhaust (82 dBA), a comfortable feather trigger for control, and ergonomically designed housing.

The AirCat line represents the most significant advances in the performance of pneumatic power tools in nearly 30 years. Founded in 1998, our air tool line has a substantially reduced level of noise while retaining more power and torque. AirCat also incorporates a patented ergonomically engineered handle design to relieve stress and fatigue on the operatorโs hands, wrists, and arms. AirCat includes the patented tuned exhaust muffler technology in most tools, which allows discharged air to pass without developing back pressure, thus retaining more power, while significantly reducing noise.
From the Manufacturer
Great for small engine work, interior work, body work. This small but tough air ratchet fits into tight spots to remove and install fasteners easily. All the power, half the noise! The AIRCAT tool line has a substantially reduced level of noise while retaining more power and torque. Our tools have been tested and shown to operate at 82-86 dBa (decibels), far below the OSHA guidelines. This feature benefits not only the mechanic but also the overall business. The patented tuned exhaust muffler technology, in all the tools, allows discharged air to pass without developing back pressure, thus retaining more power, while significantly reducing noise. AIRCAT has innovated through-the-handle exhaust design, which incorporates its revolutionary worldwide patented internal muffler/filter. The benefits include reduced hazards from breathing exhausted air particulates, the elimination of blow-by into the operators eyes and lungs as well as reduce noise. AIRCAT also incorporates a patented ergonomically engineered handle design to relieve stress and fatigue on the operators hands, wrists and arms. The patented AIRCAT handle offers better overall distribution of weight for a balanced tool and provides a unique grip that makes it easier to use for prolonged periods of time. AIRCAT offers a full line of pneumatic tools, including impact wrenches, air ratchets, reversible drills, die grinders, and cut-off tools. Established 1998 in Spokane, Washington AIRCAT is a line of high quality pneumatic hand tools that incorporates the unique and multi-patented exhaust muffler/filter technology. The AIRCAT tool line has a substantially reduced level of noise while retaining more power and torque. The AIRCAT impact wrench line offers both twin hammer and twin clutch mechanisms.

Well there is nothing really “MINI” about this ratchet. I’m not really sure why it says mini in the description. I don’t remember that from when I bought it, but that was almost 2 years ago. This is a nice air ratchet. It is ery quiet as all Aircat tools are. Plus it is very powerful compared to its competitors similar models. I have actually broken smaller bolts with this ratchet, when I forgot to turn the switch to reverse. So yeah, it may not “sound” powerful, but it is. This will be the quietest power tool in the shop, no doubt. I have a 1/4 mini Blue Point air ratchet that is twice as loud as this. That being said, this ratchet is pretty big. Not big like impact ratchet big, but big enough that it’s just more of a pain to get it out and position it to use it, than it is worth. It is nice for running in longer bolts in places where your 3/8 impact won’t fit. That’s about the only time Ill use it.It’s a great tool though, if your preference is to use an air ratchet. My preference is not though. It’s super quiet, light weight, and very powerful for its size. I would recommend to anyone who uses an air ratchet regularly.

I bought this as a fill in for my Snap On 3/8 compact ratchet as I sent it in for repair for the 3rd time in 3 years. 100.00 dollars to have the Snap On repaired everytime I break it and my other backup is a 20 year old Blue Point that make more noise than torque and is slower than Molasses. As a flat rate mechanic I cannot be without my tools and this little ratchet fit right in with how I work. For the price I could have 3 in my drawer waiting to be used. I appreciate how quite this ratchet is and though it is not as powerful as the Snap On it is plenty fast and has enough torque to be perfect for timing belt jobs and other small fastener work. I have my Snap On back now but will not send it in again if it breaks.

I like this little badass air ratchet. Needed something small to get in tight places. And this little ratchet did the trick. Just as most Aircat air tools, it’s quiet for an airtool. Nice quality and sockets fit perfectly. Compact design makes it great for those tight spots where operating a ratchet is nearly impossible. I have several AirCat air tools and never had one fail yet. You get what you pay for and then some. My opinion is these are as good as Ingersoll Rand airtools without the bigger price tags. The tight design works well. No paddle handle to catch on wiring when maneuvering under the hood or up under the dash. And easier to operate in tight spots then a single round push button air ratchet. Very happy with this tool purchase. If you make a living with tools you’ll understand, if you don’t turn a wrench to make a living, you won’t and you’ll end up at Walmart.

This ratchet does exactly what I needed — get nuts & bolts on & off in those areas where handle swing makes use of a manual ratchet difficult to impossible. It does not have impact wrench torque, but that is not what I needed it for. It has plenty of torque for the nut & bolt spinning. I can break it loose or snug it with a manual ratchet. And I’ve already dropped it a couple of times on the concrete floor, and it still works fine. Yes — I’d buy it again, and will give other Air Cat tools a look when I need other air powered tools.

Aircats quite this and that takes away from the power and usefulness of their tools.. that’s all I have to say. I have a coworker who was given this for free from the snap on dealer and he doesn’t even use it! He tried selling me it for 20$ after I had wasted the money on a new one. Very sad I am ..only good product from Aircat is their 1150 impact.

It’s okay

I work on aircrafts and I honestly can say these aircat tools are a gem. Lots of power, decent speed and very quiet. Out performed many snap on, ingersoll rand, harbor cheapo tools and many more. A little bulkier but for the performance, you won’t complain.

After going through 3 generations of cordless tools and all the costs I decided to save wear and tear on the electric ratchet and keep it for interior and go back to air for undercar and under hood, very happy so far, stronger, smaller and faster than my Milwaukee brushless ratchet, no battery bs, consistent power and speed unlike cordless tools.
