   Good fasteners for the price. What I don’t understand is why they are described on Amazon and the Porter-Cable website as having a galvanized coating yet the box contains no such description and is marked “for interior use only”. If they are galvanized, why aren’t they recommended for exterior use? Unfortunately I didn’t notice this discrepancy until using up nearly the entire box stapling chicken wire and fencing onto outdoor chicken coops.UPDATE 4/10/2017: I contacted porter cable about the interior use disclaimer. Their prompt reply (thank you porter cable) said this: “Unfortunately even being made of a galvanized material, they can still cause discoloration when used in an outdoor application and thus we only recommend stainless steel for outdoor use. ” Hopefully it’s just a cosmetic issue since their answer says nothing about corrosion. Guess I’ll find out in a year or two.
