I bought this to fix some trim on the kitchen cabinets. The guys who installed them did a shoddy job (I guess that’s why they went bankrupt at the end of our job). The kids are rough on them too, so I had several pieces of small trim to reinstall. This is how they were originally installed so I knew it would look right using the 23 g pins. They disappear into the wood grain and you really don’t have to touch up after them or anything. Once you shoot a few you will learn how to hold the nailer to make sure you don’t get an imprint of the driver too. I almost didn’t buy this because of some of the negative reviews but it seems to work great. No complaints. I probably shot around 100 pins, 5/8″, Grex brand and had no jams. No issues setting the pin length although I will agree that the little plastic slide could be made better (hence I took a star off for that). Make sure you lightly oil it and make sure the pins are inserted the correct direction (would be easy to get them backwards but the ones I bought have arrows to make sure you install correctly). For the price of this pin nailer, I saved enough time and money that even if it quits working tomorrow, I’ve got my money’s worth, but I suspect this will be a handy little tool for light duty jobs around the house for years to come. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I was so pleased, in light of the negative reviews, that hopefully this one will be helpful for other folks needing a similar tool.

For those still using air systems for nailing. Arrow makes a great product. I had been using an 18ga Brad nailer for trim work, but this smaller pin nailer is much better. The only way I stop using this product is if I decide to go with a cordless battery model.

Rubber o ring hold pin at trigger went missing other than that works fine

It’s super light and compact. It says oilless but I oiled it anyway. I got because it shoots 3/8 pin nails. This is the smallest I’ve found. The limitation is that it only shoots a max length of an inch. That’s OK with me as longer ones tend to deflect.

Oct 2022, the quick disconnect is just a hair out of size making it impossible to even connect. I was able to swap out the male end (lock tight) and the gun works flawlessly. If I wasnโt on a time crunch I would have returned it. And I ruined any chance of warranty.

I almost bought another brand for over $100. Then I found this Arrow for under $50. I was nervous about its performance but took a chance. After a full day nailing small wood parts together, I am impressed!

This nailer has fired a few hundred shots consistently so far and seems well-built for the price. The safety trigger is a bit clunky, but I can get used to it. My main complaint is that there is no depth adjustment. The nailer relies only on air pressure to control the depth so if your material has harder and softer spots or you go from thinner to thicker material, you will probably underdrive or overdrive the pins. That’s what I’m fighting now.
